Associate Professor Francesco Mancini is an Italian registered Architect and Planner serving at Curtin University as a Teaching Academic in the Architecture program. Francesco is a member of the Australian Architecture Program Accreditation Review Panel, a member of the Board of Architects of Western Australia and sits in the Australian Institute of Architects Educational Committee, WA.
Francesco holds a PhD and a post-doctorate fellowship in Architecture. He has been the principal investigator in research projects concerning housing, urban density and sustainability and published on urban morphology, building typology and sense of place. He has presented his work at national and international teaching and learning conferences and symposiums.
Francesco has a scholarly interest in collaborative, transdisciplinary students’ learning and experience, a work that he consolidated through several teaching and learning grants.
Francesco is currently Deputy Head of the School of Design and the Built Environment.
