Francesca Perugia

Associate Professor – Architecture, Curtin University

Dr Francesca Perugia is an early career housing researcher with extensive knowledge of the housing sector in Australia and internationally. In her academic work, Francesca brings the knowledge and leadership skills gained through research and advocacy in the not-for-profit sectors at a European level, the professional knowledge of the construction industry, and a deep understanding of institutional and governmental processes, ethic, directions, and priorities relative to policy development and delivery of complex affordable housing projects.

She is based at Curtin University, School of Design and Built Environment, where she coordinates the Urban and Regional Planning Courses. She is currently involved as a researcher with the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) and Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI). In addition, she is a member of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), contributing to the Architectural Design and Management working commission.
