Dr Kate Hunter

Acting Co-Lead – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research Program, The George Institute for Global Health

Dr Kate Hunter is Acting Co-Lead of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research Program at The George Institute for Global Health and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. Her research focusses on reducing inequities across the injury prevention spectrum through the conduct and evaluation of community-based and community-driven programs, and assessing equitable and safe access to quality health and social services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Dr Hunter has more than 90 publications, including 56 peer reviewed publications, is elected Chair of Kidsafe NSW and is an executive member of the Australasian Injury Prevention Network.
