Laura Valenti

Laura began her real estate career in 2002, running several franchised Real Estate offices in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. In 2008, she founded Solutions Property Management, and award-winning agency which recently rebranded under the McGrath franchise network.

Under Laura’s leadership and guidance, her agency has grown to managing 1500 properties in the greater Brisbane area, and is leading the property management industry in setting high standards of service to both owner and tenant clients.

As an active advocate for the property management industry, Laura enjoys giving back to the industry by encouraging ethical behaviour and high professional standards for property management. She has participated as speaker and panellist in several industry conferences and training events. As a past member of the REIQ Property Management Chapter (2018/2019), she currently occupies a position on the REIQ Board of Directors and the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) Stakeholder Forum.

Laura is a champion in Domestic and Family Violence awareness for the real estate industry. She recently collaborated with QShelter to create an online course specifically for property managers to recognise and assist tenants who may be suffering from DFV. As a result of this and many other initiatives, her agency recently won the coveted REIQ Contribution to the Community Award.

Laura encourages industry cross-collaboration and is piloting several projects in her own agency to break down the barriers between the social housing and private rental sectors.

One such project is the Housing Mentor Program. Working with inCommunity, McGrath North Lakes is producing significant outcomes in sustaining vulnerable tenancies and Laura is excited to share some of these outcomes with attendees of the conference.
