Andrew Kazim

Andy Kazim has dedicated much of his professional career towards walking alongside vulnerable young people, elevating their voice into shaping the services and systems that support them.

With a passion for innovation and early implementation, Andy moved from front line work in homelessness, AOD and justice roles to providing practice and program leadership that has fueled the successful establishment of a range of innovative services like Foyer Oxford, headspace Pilbara, Momentum QP, Drug and Alcohol Youth Service and Beat-Mat.

From 2018 Andy led the co-design and development of Home Stretch in WA, working in collaboration with young people, Aboriginal communities, academics, practice experts and the child protection system to develop the service model and policy framework for WA.

Described as a ‘person-centred system disruptor’, he currently balances his time between leading the work of the Home Stretch WA Community of Practice team and working for the Department of Communities to drive the implementation of programs and policy to establish Home Stretch across WA.
