Amy Degenhart

Amy is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and a director of three companies, her design consultancy degenhartSHEDD architecture + urban design, as well as Urban Pure and Bubbl(up), the latter two serving as delivery mechanisms for her innovative and affordable housing solutions.

Amy was also recently appointed to the Queensland Housing Supply Expert Panel to provide insights into the challenges of housing affordability.

While her motto is: "Imagine better homes, better places and a better bottom line", imagining is no replacement for doing, so Amy is enhancing her role as designer by adding the role of implementer.

She started ‘small’ with her innovative and affordable “ENVI Micro Urban Village”, containing the tiniest freehold residential lot in Australia, and is currently employing her innovative thinking to create a collection of tiny cohousing Pocket Homes at “HOLM Pocket Urban Village”, an outcome of the Better Neighbourhoods Logan initiative.
